Nykky and the rest of the gang at Bentley's Buds,

I just had to take this time to thank you for letting us adopt Famous. Your assesment was very accurate when you said you thought that he'd fit very well with our family and lifestyle. He has been a wonderful addition to our family!

After the loss of our two BD's our home seemed very empty and sad. Famous has changed all that, what a blessing he has been for us. He's such a good boy! He's been boating, swimming, walking and looks forward to playing with his new doggie friends, Kenya and Maggie, when they come to visit. He's even learned a few new tricks and loves to go to work with me.

It's only been a month since the adoption but it feels like he's always been a part of our family. I can't imagine how hard it was for you to see him go to a new home. Just know that he has a "forever" home with us. Keep up the good work at the rescue and know that you do make a difference in not only the lives of the animals that you save but in the lives of the people that adopt them.

This is shameless plug for Athena!!! She was with my family for about a month. She is great! She did well with our son and both our dogs but our resident female Dane was not willing to accept another female. Please consider Athena (we called her Beans or Beana) if you're looking to adopt. Or any other dog that Nykky and Garrett have for that matter. Athena is lover and a couch potato. 100% Dane!

We have known Nykky now for a couple of years and are so impressed with the passion she has for her dogs and her mission. We have met several of her rescue dogs and listened to many stories. It's hard to imagine how some people could abandon, abuse, neglect, etc., etc. these animals. Just seeing them watch and listen to her is amazing! This past weekend Nykky and my son Garret came to Minnesota to visit and brought great dane Zeek with. Zeek is a beautiful 11 month old dane, who makes our 2 year old 100 lb. yellow lab look like a baby. Zeek did very well with our lab, our neighbors lab and dane, and our 10 year old daughter.......who fell in love with him! Nykky and Garret you guys are doing a GREAT JOB! Keep up the good work and I wouldn't be surprised if our neighbors Patti and Nathan come looking for a dane from you sometime in the future as even Nathan had to make some pretty great comments on Zeek and the job you do. Take care and we love you both! Dad and Brenda

I met Nykky this weekend and great dane Zeek. What a great dog I have a great dane myself and she didn't seem to mind him being around our home with other dogs. Listening to Nykky talk about the work you all do sounds like you are doing a great service for this wonderful breed of dog. Keep up the good work and maybe someday I can talk my husband into letting me adopt another dog..Patti

This website is really hard to read with the pink, pattern background image. Other than that, great!

How current are the dogs up for adoption on your website? How long does it take to get approved for adoption once you decide to do it? We currently have a 6 yr old dane that may have some serious health problems. Vet isn't really sure what is wrong, but may be cancer. He is our second dane, our first big boy lived to e 10 yr 2 mths. We are having a hard time thinking we may loose are current love at this young age, but definately want to adopt our next one, just not sure when would be a good time. I check your web site almost weekly and can't tell you how great it is to see your success stories!

Love the pictures of your Danes. We sure do miss our Great Dane "Paco" who passed away a few years ago. He was cremated and buried with his best buddy, "Giant". Giant passed away about a year and half ago. Those two were always together, who says cats and dogs can't get along. Someday, we would really love another family member to bless our home, now we know where we can go when that time comes. Thank you for the work you do.

Hi! I thought I would check out your website as I saw you post about a Dane/Rottie Mix. I just wanted to let you know that we are a Great Dane Rescue. We cover the area's of PA all the MA.
Our rescue is called the Northeastern Great Dane Rescue. We are brand new (since after Thanksgiving). We do have a website, however, in some area's it is still under construction www.negdr.org/
I am the Vice President of the BOD and also the State Coordinator for PA, NJ & NY. I thought I would introduce myself, and our rescue. Thank you, Lynn Kapcsos

Saw your ad on craigslist. My husband and I currently have 1 female Dane that we rescued approx 5 years ago. We also have a new Irish Setter puppy. We lost our two male Danes this summer. It's great too see effort at a local level to help these great dogs!
